Conversational Chinese Courses

This will enable you to conduct and understand simple communication in daily life, such as self introduction, asking and giving directions and addresses, telling day and time, ordering food, making appointments, talking with your ayi (housekeeper), seeing a doctor, making phone calls to order food or set appointments, shopping and bargaining, expressing likes and dislikes, etc.

We have developed the materials for this course in-house to specifically cater to the needs of the expatriate living in China. You will be able to immediately apply your knowledge and improve your enjoyment of life in China. You can sign up for a class based on your level, specific situation and requirements. We offer part time (2-3 sessions/week) and intensive classes (4-5 sessions/week), with 2.5 or 3 hours each lesson.

Conversational Chinese Courses
Starting with Pin Yin, these courses focus on listening and speaking abilities for daily life. Upon completion of the three beginner courses, students will be able to conduct simple daily conversations.
These courses focus on natural Mandarin  mainly involving expatriates' day-to-day life in China. Upon completion of the courses, students will be able to employ appropriate expressions within different contexts, and compose complex sentences and paragraphs expressing personal opinions fluently on selected topics.
These courses help students expand their vocabulary, reach native-speaker fluency and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and society.
Beginner Courses

These courses are designed for students who are busy and do not have time for a long term study plan. They are ideal if you have had no previous exposure to Mandarin as they start with Chinese phonetics and phrases. The beginner level comprises three courses – beginner I, beginner II & beginner III. Upon completion of the course, you should have a command of more than 1,000 basic words and 200 simple sentences, focusing first on pinyin (Romanization of Chinese characters) and then progress to basic daily conversational situations.
