F A Q

What is the difference between iMandarin with other mandarin school?
- iMandarin is a certified training school in teaching mandarin.
- All year round classes from total Beginner to Advanced, new classes starting every week.

For group classes
1.If I'm on a business trip and am not able to attend my lessons, can I make up the lessons at a later date?
Missed classes due to travel or business can be made up in the following group class at a later date, but within 6 months from the course starting for free, or having a private teacher to take you through the missed lessons, but extra fee for private tutoring has to be charged. Please remember  to  inform  iMandarin  at  least  one  day  before  your  scheduled trip in order that iMandarin could make proper arrangements.

2.If I am not satisfied with my teacher, what options do you offer?
Our focus at iMandarin is customer satisfaction.  If more than half the students in a particular class feel that  the teaching is unsatisfactory,  a  new teacher  will  be appointed to the class. If only one of  the students is dissatisfied  with the teacher,  the student  will  be offered a transfer into another class.

3.If my schedule changes and I can no longer attend the lessons, what happens with my remaining classes?
You  can make up your remaining classes with  the next  section of  class that  may meet  your schedule  needs, or  you  can  shift  your  lessons to  private  tutoring, the fee will be re-calculated based on relative course rate.

 

For Individual Classes
1.How much time is reasonable for me to master survival Mandarin?
Our 40 hour Intensive crash course takes place over 3 weeks. Upon completing this course, students will be able to deal with most day-to-day simple activities in China.  For students who want  to have a  more  in depth understanding of Mandarin, a longer time period ( 120 hours ) will need to be invested.

2.How much time is required for each course level?
Each  course  needs 40-60  hours, depending on the level you choose. Classes are usually scheduled 2 -3 times a week and last between 2-3 hours.

Corporate Training
1.What is your advantage in cooperate Training?

We study and understand the changing demands of corporations, therefore, we establish particular training module and course setting for each corporation to help reach its goal. We are confident to be distinct and best training school, because of our multifarious courses, feature teaching methods, practical course setting and abundant Instructor Resources, we will create extra benefits for your company.

2.Minimum training length?
To complete one course, it takes at least 50 hours. We can set the schedule according to your specific requirements from Mon. to Fri. between 9:00 am to 9:pm.

3.How to fix training location?
You can choose, either at your company or our school.

Visa Do you offer visa services?
Yes. We offer an F visa (classification F, short-term training). With an F visa you can stay in China for 3 to 6 months. Students must first pay their tuition in full, and then the application process will begin. IFor clients who have already a visa, but need to transfer to an F visa, please contact us 10 working days before your visa expires. 

Accommodations & Services
1.Do you offer students accommodations?
Yes, we can arrange accommodations for students. iMandarin students can choose to stay in hotels (from 3 – 5 star), motels, service apartments or regular apartments. The price range depends on accommodation choice. Click here for a more detailed description. Reference exchange rate (USD : RMB ) is 1: 7

2.Are there any other services you can offer during my stay in Shanghai?
Newcomers to Shanghai will be provided with information on the city, including information on restaurants, entertainment venues and healthcare. We also schedule trips and activities each month to treat students to a taste of Chinese culture.

3.It is the first time for me to come to Shanghai. Can iMandarin provide relevant services?
Yes, we definitely can. The major services are Airport pick-up and city orientation.
Our local staff will help you and your families to settle down in shortest time after arriving Shanghai and adapt to life of Shanghai in easy and local way.
To ensure the pickup process, enquirer must inform iMandarin flight details and accompanying family members at least 3 days before arrival. (RMB 300/one way).  No refund applied if schedule is changed within 12 hours.
