The course is designed for learners who want to make evident progress in overall Chinese abilities including speaking, listening, reading and writing, in a short period of time. With systematical and interesting contents, students can improve their overall Chinese step by step. More important, the materials help students to overcome the pitfall that they are able to speak Mandarin but are unable to recognize characters, which is a crucial point for further learning. Upon completion of this course, students should have command of about 1,600 new words and 800 Chinese characters, and the ability of conducting daily communication, reading essays and newspapers, as well as representing their views using complex sentences. For those who are new to China or for those returning and feel they need to brush up on their Mandarin. This course is an immersion into the Chinese language with over 230 hours of intensive study. We also have a social program to help you wind down after your work in class.
