Fùqinjié 父亲节 

Fùqinjié duì měi ɡe rén lái shuō dōu shì tèbié de yì tiān！
父 亲节    对　每 个 人　 来　 说　都　是　 特 别 的 一  天！

Wǒmen zài liù yuè de dì sān ɡe xīnɡqītiān qìnɡzhù zhè ɡe jiérì.  
我 们　在  六  月  的 第  三　个 星  期 天　  庆祝　 这　个  节日。

1909 nián，Huáshènɡdùn de Suǒnuòlā tīnɡshuō Mǔqinjié de shìqing，yóucǐ xiǎnɡdào
1909　年，  华  盛  顿  的  索 诺 拉　 听说　  母亲节　的  事 情，   由此 　想  到　

jiànlì Fùqinjié. Tā de fùqin Hēnɡlì zài Suǒnuòlā de mǔqin qùshì yǐhòu，
 建 立  父亲 节。 她 的 父亲　 亨  利 在　 索诺拉   的 母亲　 去世　 以后，

dúzì fǔyǎng tā，Suǒnuòlā xiǎnɡ rànɡ bàbɑ zhīdɑo tā duì tā de tèbié yìyì.
独自  抚养　她，  索诺拉 　想　  让　 爸爸　知道　  他 对 她 的 特别     意义。

Suǒnuòlā de fùqin chūshēnɡ zài liù yuè，suǒyǐ tā xuǎn liù yuè lái
 索诺拉   的 父亲　 出生　   在　六　月，所以    她　选　 六　月　来　

qìnɡzhù zhè ɡe xīn jiérì！

Father's Day is a special day for everyone! We celebrate this holiday on the third Sunday in June. A woman named Sonora Smart Dodd from Washington, thought of the idea for Father's Day while listening to a Mother's Day sermon in 1909. Her father, Henry Jackson Smart, had raised Sonora after her mother died and she wanted him to know how special he was to her. Her father was born in June, so she chose that month to celebrate the new holiday!
