Survival Chinese Courses

These courses are designed for students who have busy schedules and do not have time for a long term study plan. The course enables students to survive daily life in China by focusing first on the Chinese phonetic system called "Pinyin" and then on basic daily conversational situations such as living, working and traveling in China, the course enables you to easily  ‘’survive” in daily life. You can take a class level by level according to your specific situation and requirement with the purpose of improving your ability in Mandarin gradually. We offer part time (2-3 sessions/week) and intensive group classes (4-5 sessions/week), with 2.5 or 3 hours each session.

Survival Mandarin Courses
Starting with Pin Yin, these courses focus on listening and speaking abilities for daily life. Upon completion of the three beginner courses, students will be able to conduct simple daily conversations.
These courses focus on natural Mandarin  mainly involving expatriates' day-to-day life in China. Upon completion of the courses, students will be able to employ appropriate expressions within different contexts, and compose complex sentences and paragraphs expressing personal opinions fluently on selected topics.
These courses help students expand their vocabulary, reach native-speaker fluency and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and society.
Beginner Courses

The beginner level includes three courses – beginner I, beginner II & beginner III. These courses are suitable for students who have had no previous mandarin instruction. Upon completion of the beginner courses, students should have a command of more than 1,000 basic words and 200 sentences. This will enable students to conduct and understand simple communication in daily life, such as, greeting, self introduction, shopping, taking a taxi, making appointments, asking for help, ordering food, seeing doctors, booking tickets, communicating with housekeeper, etc.
